"Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter" (1966) and Billy the Kid vs Dracula (1966)Requested by John Teehan

My good friend John Teehan commented on my announcing that Frankenstein’s Daughter would be up at CastleFreak with: "Now you have to follow this up with 1966's JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER and then BILLY THE KID MEETS DRACULA
So blame him for the next two stinkers, I forgot that Frankenstein’s Daughter was such a crappy actress. And who were the historical morons that thought the psychopathic murderers Billy the Kid and Jesse James would make for good Hollywood, pulp novel and comic book heroes? I guess in 20 years Jeffery Dahmer will be fighting Michael Myers and Jason.
Why was 1966 the year for pant-load cowboys fighting terrible actors and who the hell was Frankenstein's daughter's mother?
God, these movies suck. You will love them! Well, maybe not the Jesse James one. I love that the Frankenstein family moves from Germany to the US because we have better lightening.I know I will go to Psychotronic Hell for what I am about to say, but man, John Carradine blows.

Frankenstein's Daughter (1958)

For all you fans of evil people having daughters; Dracula, Jesse James, Zoro (if you are a Bighollywood Libertarian and think a guy that champions equality and is a servant of the people makes him a left wing commie nut. Yeah, I read that there) the Mummy, Freddy Krueger (yup, he had a daughter named Kathryn) or Dick Cheney you will love this thing. It features a girl wit teeth that could eat apples through a picket fence. It is written by the script writer of the B classic Missile to the Moon H.E. Barrie. He apparently wrote both films while taking a coffee break on the set of She Demons. Frankenstein's daughter is the cure for what ails you at 3 AM on a Saturday night. The best.

An Episode of Tony Millionaire's Maakies that originally aired on SNL (you can buy a Maakies DVD at brightredrocket.com/) in 1998 and an old Interview excerpt

This is a companion to my Tony Millionaire interview over at The Comics Journal

The Man Behind the Badge in The Case of the Haunted Hobo (1955)

The nicest thing I can say about this anthropological curiosity is that is better than LAX (2004 – 2005) and actually featured Aaron Spelling as an actor. And you thoght he only produced bad shows. Thank's again Toonheads.

Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959) and Scott McCloud: Space Angel (1962)

I know, we have all seen PLAN 9 From Outer Space a billon times but it just felt wrong not having it on this site.

First feature bonus: Thanks to the dudes at toonheads.tv (these guys are what I want to be when I grow up) we get a special bonus: SCOTT MCCLOUD: SPACE ANGEL

Scott McCloud Space Angel is an amazingly bad cartoon that ran from 1962-1964
"The character name Space Angel was a secret identity. Scott McCloud had an eyepatch; when he appeared as Space Angel, he would lower bulging sunglasses from his helmet to cover it.
Apart from the use of Synchro-Vox, animation was very limited, but the static panel art by legend Alex Toth was often well-drawn. Story lines were serialized over five episodes which ran five minutes each, the idea being that stations could show one episode per weekday, with the climax coming on Friday. Cliffhangers were sometimes used, as in an episode with McCloud finding a derelict spacecraft beyond the light barrier, looking inside and exclaiming "Oh my God!" Another memorable sequence occurred with the heroes involved in a best two-of-three gladiator battle, using future visions of Roman combat." This is the pits. I wouldn't let this cartoon scrub my toilet--it is that great!

And now... Plan 9 From Outer Space for the billionth time

Attack of the Giant Gila Monster (1959)

For most of the HOT ROD flick the cast dances around the possibility of any unusual life forms until the father of a boy who went missing early in the film insists that there could be a huge lizard out there, giving reasoning which makes absolutely no sense at all. He insists that a giant lizard could easily live out there for years unnoticed, get this, in the "underbrush." Well, maybe he just didn't understand the scale he was talking about, because given the size of the car that crashes into it at the end of the film, this lizard living in "underbrush" was probably a good 60 feet long. But even without having seen the thing, is "underbrush" the kind place where something big enough to push cars sideways could hide? I 12 inch salamander played the monster in this 1959 masterpiece.

Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959)

Attack of the Giant Leeches is a low-budget horror Roger Corman film from 1959. It might not be the most exciting of films, but what it lacks in action it makes up for in rubber costumes. Scooby Doo never fought monsters that looked this silly. Dave walker has a cheating she-vixen of a wife who walks all over him, and there are giant leeches in the swamp. Dave will have to sort out his wife himself - not to mention the guy who is giving her a regular 'sorting out.' As for the leeches, the local game-warden, Steve Benton, will need to get to grips with that problem because the local sheriff seems to have no interest in the matter at all. This is Corman monster gold.

Korgoth of Barbaria (2006) another {adult swim} casualty

I know the budget for the voice talent and amazing production team must have been painful on this but the Venture Bothers can't be any cheaper. I don't know why this wasn't given a full season, but it is a shame that it never had the chance to prove itself

"Korgoth lays waste to the competition in this pilot for Adult Swim." IGN

"Korgoth truly would be gem in the [AS] schedule...
if only that the executives in charge weren't obsessed with cheap crap!
If [AS] keeps this up, they'll be playing nothing but infomercials within five years." Angry IMBB user

"I've dated uglier girls than you, for breakfast!"  Korgoth

SNAKE 'N' BACON live action show with cartoons

This is Michael Kuperman's pilot that he created for adult swim. It is hysterical which is probably why it was not picked up.I get the impression that Adult Swim's upper management kinda blows.
The show's original (and only?) air-date was May 11th 2009 at 12:45 AM, which is just about the worst time you can possibly premiere a new show given that that time-slot does not show up on most channel guides.video
